Meet Our Team

Say hello to the leadership team at the College Church

Got Questions for Our Leaders?

On Oct. 31, 2020, we voted in new church officers for the period from Nov. 1, 2020–June 30, 2022. If you have questions for them, contact the team.

Einar Rom - Lead Pastor

Pastor Einar and Dawn Rom joined us on Jan. 11, 2020, coming to us from the Gardner/Fitchburg, MA churches. They have been happily wedded since 1990 and have a son, Josiah, who graduated from South Lancaster Academy and Walla Walla University and is now working in the Seattle, WA area as a Mechanical Engineer. Pastor Einar believes that healthy churches are growing churches, and that when Christ is lifted up, people will be drawn to Him. His favorite book of the Bible is Romans, his favorite text is John 10:10, and his favorite contemporary author is Philip Yancey. They are excited to be here and look forward to serving in any way they can.

Pro Tip: Pastor Einar's heritage is Norwegian, so his first name is pronounced A-nar (the A is like the a in ate).

"The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly." John 10:10

Ralph G. - Lead Elder

Ralph G. grew up in the College Church. It's part of his extended family. Any respect he receives from the community is because he is married to Debbie. They have three married children and ten grandchildren. Ralph says that God gives children to people who need to learn to love, and grandchildren to people who need more help learning to love. Ralph is a mechanical engineer with a lifetime goal of improving mechanical engineering worldwide. Time will tell whether he should change his name to Quixote. And yes, from that last reference you may discern that Ralph treasures literature.

"Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered." Romans 8:26

Kari Radford - Lead Deacon

Kari Radford is Norwegian by birth and she treasures some of the Norwegian customs, especially around the holidays. She is a nurse by profession and has worked mostly in ICU and ER. She is currently a clinical instructor for nursing students two days per week. She has been a member of the College Church for many years. She enjoys gardening, flower arranging, Norwegian rosemaling (folk art painting—a craft that my mother did), and spending time with family—which includes 8 grandchildren.

"But God shows his love for us in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us." Romans 5:8

Rhonda Muchiutti - Church Clerk

Text and picture to come!

Ilana Joyce Cady - Music Coordinator

Ilana Cady has been a part of the musical life at CC for over 20 years. She is a professional pianist working throughout New England. She loves to grow Dahlias and go on walks with her beagle, Ivy Ives. She has a BMUS and MM in piano performance from Andrews University and Longy School of Music, respectively.

"So I will walk with the Lord in the land of the living. I believed, so I said, “I am completely ruined.” In my distress I said, “All people are liars.” What can I give the Lord for all the good things he has given to me? I will lift up the cup of salvation, and I will pray to the Lord." Ps. 116:9–13

Ed Collins - Office Administrator, co-A/V Leader, Assistant Clerk, Webmaster

Ed Collins has been a member of the College Church since about 1985. He loves summer, acoustic guitar, Boston sports, vegan foods, and spending time at a special little camp (that's a cottage to you non-Mainers!) on Webb Lake in Weld, Maine, where his family has been vacationing since at least the 1930s. He has an Ed.M. in Educational Media and Technology from BU.

"May the God of peace himself sanctify you wholly; and may your spirit and soul and body be kept sound and blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who calls you is faithful, and he will do it." 1 Thess. 5:23–24
